Eorish…

Someone just called my writing “Eorish.”

And I think that’s just great.

I mean, it’s funny. The mental picture when you hear the word “Eorish” is funny in itself. But I also think it’s incredibly insightful. I would never have thought of my writing that way. I would never have thought anyone’s writing could be Eorish!

But I kind of see the point. My writing comes from a negative place because I’m looking to connect with an audience and I see this as a place where we’ve all been. In doing so, however, it turns out I may be neglecting that part of life that isn’t so negative… I’m not saying I even know what that is, mind you. But I warrants some thinking, I’ll tell you that.

Sometimes, negative feedback can sting – believe me. I’ve been there! (MANY TIMES!)

But don’t think it’s not useful. There are times – and this is one of them – when it transcends criticism and takes you to someplace you hadn’t even imagined possible.
