Last thing I was telling you, Murielle’s Big Date was appearing in Connotation Press and I had been invited to write for the annual “Fast & Loose” show at Sacred Fool’s Theatre… oh, and I burned out horribly…
It’s been about a month…
My plan is to begin writing again, to begin rewrites on my new book, indian paintbrush. I don’t know how that’ll go. I’ll keep you posted.
Burning out is a lot like taking a hot poker and searing out that part of your mind that creates. It really takes a physical toll. For the past month, I’ve done everything I can do to stay away from writing because just the thought of writing caused me to cringe.
Now… I’m back!... provisionally…
On a side note, I have to mention what a thrill Fast & Loose was. The folks at Sacred Fools, especially David McIntyre’s production, Ben Rock’s direction, and the phenomenal cast, were all pretty damned amazing. My play turned out great but, better still, was on stage with some other amazing work. The whole experience was fantastic and I really hope they let me do it again.
That’s it for now. Time to get back on that horse…
